CBA Draft History
The Continental Basketball Association served for
decades as one of the most important professional basketball leagues
outside the NBA. Its annual draft provided CBA teams with the rights
to players entering the professional ranks.
Many players selected in CBA drafts later appeared in the NBA or built
successful careers in the CBA, overseas leagues and other professional
basketball organizations.

Notable CBA Draft Picks
The CBA Draft archive includes a number of players who later reached
the NBA. The 2002 CBA Draft, for example, included
Reggie Evans, Devin Brown, Lonny Baxter, Keith McLeod, J.R. Bremer,
Udonis Haslem and Rasual Butler.
The 1999 CBA Draft included several future NBA
players such as Laron Profit, Milt Palacio, Raja Bell, Michael Batiste,
Lee Nailon, Obinna Ekezie, Calvin Booth, Devean George and Chris
Herren.

About the CBA Draft Archive
Draft formats changed over time, so the number of rounds and selections
varies by season. Individual draft pages retain the original order of
selection, player names, schools and CBA teams whenever that information
is available.
There is currently no 2001 CBA Draft page linked from the existing
NBAHoopsOnline index, so it has not been added here without supporting
data.
