About the 2010-11 Officials
The 2010-11 NBA referee roster shows a significant reshuffling of
uniform numbers compared with the preceding seasons. Tony Brown
appears as #6, Kevin Fehr as #7, Mark Davis as #8, Derrick Collins
as #11, Ed Malloy as #14, David Guthrie as #16, Leroy Richardson
as #20, John Goble as #30 and Zach Zarba as #33.
The veteran group still included Dick Bavetta (#27), Joe Crawford
(#17), Steve Javie (#29), Dan Crawford (#43), Bennett Salvatore
(#15), Eddie F. Rush (#32) and Mike Callahan (#24). Scott Foster
was #48, Tony Brothers #25, Monty McCutchen #13, Bill Kennedy #55
and Courtney Kirkland #61.
The season's archive also includes several officials who were not
listed on the preceding 2009-10 page. Kevin Cutler appears as #34,
Nick Buchert as #54, Josh Tiven as #58, James Williams as #60 and
Brent Barnaky as #70. Kane Fitzgerald, who appeared as #77 in
2009-10, is listed as #35 for 2010-11.
Other officials on the roster include former NBA players Leon Wood
(#40) and Haywood Workman (#66), as well as Marat Kogut (#68),
Curtis Blair (#74), Eric Dalen (#75), Brian Forte (#45), John
Goble (#30) and Ed Malloy (#14).
These changes illustrate why NBA referee uniform numbers are best
preserved on a season-by-season basis. The same official may appear
under several different numbers during a career, while numbers can
be reassigned as the officiating staff changes. Annual referee
lists provide a useful reference for researching historical games,
broadcasts, photographs and box scores.
Names and uniform numbers are preserved according to the
NBAHoopsOnline 2010-11 referee archive. Unused uniform numbers
have intentionally been left unfilled.
