The list preserves the referee names and uniform numbers recorded
in the NBAHoopsOnline historical archive.
The 2007-08 staff included longtime officials such as Dick Bavetta,
Joe Crawford, Steve Javie, Dan Crawford and Bennett Salvatore,
along with Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, Monty McCutchen, Marc Davis,
Zach Zarba, Courtney Kirkland, Ed Malloy and other officials who
would remain prominent members of the NBA officiating staff.

About the 2007-08 Officials
The 2007-08 NBA referee roster marked a noticeable transition in
the league's officiating staff. Several officials who appeared on
the previous season's list were no longer included, while Mark
Lindsay (#53), Brian Forte (#62) and John Goble (#67) appear on
the 2007-08 list.
The veteran group included Dick Bavetta (#27), Joe Crawford (#17),
Steve Javie (#29), Dan Crawford (#43), Bennett Salvatore (#15),
Eddie F. Rush (#32) and Mike Callahan (#24). The staff also
included Scott Foster (#48), Tony Brothers (#25), Monty McCutchen
(#13), Marc Davis (#34), Bill Kennedy (#55), Zach Zarba (#58),
Courtney Kirkland (#61) and Ed Malloy (#73).
Violet Palmer continued to officiate as #12, while former NBA
player Leon Wood was listed as #40. The season's roster also
included officials such as James Capers, Eric Lewis, Pat Fraher,
Jason Phillips, Rodney Mott and David Guthrie.
NBA referee numbers have changed over time, which makes preserving
the annual lists useful for historical research. A referee's number
in one season should not automatically be applied to another year.
These season-by-season records can help identify officials in old
broadcasts, photographs, game reports and box scores.
Names and uniform numbers are preserved from the NBAHoopsOnline
2007-08 referee archive. Obvious presentation issues have been
cleaned up without filling gaps in the original numbering.
