Since the inaugural NBA All-Star Game in 1951, hundreds of players have earned recognition as some of the best in professional basketball. This alphabetical directory lists NBA All-Star participants and the years in which they received All-Star honors, from early stars such as George Mikan, Bob Cousy and Dolph Schayes to modern standouts including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama.

About NBA All-Star Selections
The NBA All-Star Game was first played on March 2, 1951, at Boston Garden. Since then, the event has honored generations of outstanding players, from the league's early pioneers to its current stars.
All-Star selection totals reflect recognition by the league's selection process, which has changed over time. An individual can receive an All-Star selection without appearing in the game because of injury, illness or another absence. For that reason, selection lists and game participation records may differ.
The directory includes historical names and alternate names where relevant, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor), Walt Hazzard (Mahdi Abdul-Rahman) and Metta World Peace (Ron Artest).
