when she led the Dallas Wings past the New York Liberty on
July 17, 2018.
A'ja Wilson tied the record for the Las Vegas Aces on
August 22, 2023 against the Atlanta Dream.
Marina Mabrey became the third player to score 53 when she matched the
record for the Toronto Tempo against the Los Angeles Sparks on
June 25, 2026.

The 53-Point Games
Liz Cambage — Dallas Wings — July 17, 2018
Cambage scored 53 points in a 104-87 victory over the New York
Liberty. She shot 17-for-22 from the field, made four of five
three-pointers and converted 15 of 16 free throws. She also collected
10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
A'ja Wilson — Las Vegas Aces — August 22, 2023
Wilson tied Cambage's record by scoring 53 points in a 112-100 victory
over the Atlanta Dream. Her performance made her the third WNBA player
at the time to score at least 50 points in a regular-season game.
Marina Mabrey — Toronto Tempo — June 25, 2026
Mabrey tied the WNBA record with 53 points as Toronto defeated the
Los Angeles Sparks 125-97. She became the first player in Tempo
franchise history to reach the mark and joined Cambage and Wilson as
the only players to score 53 points in a WNBA game.

About the Record
Single-game scoring records provide a useful look at how offensive
basketball has evolved throughout WNBA history. Cynthia Cooper held an
early league standard with 44 points during the WNBA's inaugural 1997
season before Katie Smith, Diana Taurasi and Riquna Williams successively
raised the record.
Williams became the first WNBA player to reach 50 points when she
scored 51 in 2013. Five years later, Cambage raised the record to 53,
a mark later matched by Wilson in 2023 and Mabrey in 2026.
