2026 WNBA Home Arenas
The WNBA has 15 teams for the 2026 season. The
Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire joined the league in 2026, one year
after the Golden State Valkyries debuted.
Arena capacities can vary depending on seating configuration and the
type of event being held. The capacities below reflect commonly listed
basketball configurations.

Several WNBA teams also play selected games in larger arenas during
the season. In 2026, Toronto is playing games at Scotiabank Arena,
Bell Centre and Rogers Arena; Las Vegas is using T-Mobile Arena for
selected games; Chicago is using United Center; and Washington has
a game scheduled at Capital One Arena.
Connecticut Sun Relocation to Houston
The Connecticut Sun will remain at Mohegan Sun Arena for the
2026 season, which will be the franchise's final season in
Connecticut.
The WNBA and NBA approved the sale and relocation of the franchise
in May 2026. The team will move to Houston beginning with the
2027 WNBA season.
Connecticut is also playing selected 2026 home games away from
Mohegan Sun Arena, including games at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford
and TD Garden in Boston.
Future WNBA Teams
The WNBA is continuing its expansion beyond the current 15-team
league. Expansion franchises have been approved for Cleveland,
Detroit and Philadelphia.

WNBA Arena Facts
Newest arenas added to the league: Moda Center and
Coca-Cola Coliseum became primary WNBA home venues when Portland and
Toronto began play in 2026.
Largest primary home arenas: Several WNBA teams play
in NBA-sized buildings, including Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena,
Portland at Moda Center, Minnesota at Target Center and Golden State
at Chase Center.
Smallest primary home arena: Atlanta's Gateway Center
Arena has one of the league's smallest listed capacities at
approximately 3,500.
WNBA growth: Golden State joined in 2025, Toronto
and Portland joined in 2026, and Cleveland, Detroit and Philadelphia
are scheduled to bring the league to 18 teams by 2030.
