All-NBA Cup Team History

The NBA began selecting an All-Tournament Team when the league introduced the NBA In-Season Tournament in 2023. The competition was later renamed the NBA Cup.

The team recognizes five of the top performers from each tournament. Selections are based on a player's performance during Group Play and the Knockout Rounds.

The tournament's Most Valuable Player is also identified below. Through the first three NBA Cups, the MVP has been a member of the championship team each season.

Jalen Brunson led the 2025 All-NBA Cup Team after helping the New York Knicks win their first NBA Cup championship. New York defeated the San Antonio Spurs 124-113 in the championship game, and Brunson was named tournament MVP.

Brunson was joined by Knicks teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, giving New York two representatives. Luka Dončić represented the Los Angeles Lakers, De'Aaron Fox represented championship-game runner-up San Antonio, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander earned his second consecutive All-NBA Cup selection with Oklahoma City.

Unlike the original lists on this page, the NBA's 2025 selections were made regardless of position, so no positional designations are included for the 2025 team.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was named 2024 NBA Cup MVP after leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the championship. Milwaukee defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 in the title game and completed its Cup schedule with an undefeated 7-0 record.

Milwaukee placed two players on the All-NBA Cup Team, with Damian Lillard joining Antetokounmpo. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander represented Oklahoma City, while Trae Young of Atlanta and Alperen Şengün of Houston completed the five-player team.

The Los Angeles Lakers placed two players on the first All-NBA In-Season Tournament Team in 2023. LeBron James was named the tournament's first MVP, while Anthony Davis also earned a selection.

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant rounded out the inaugural five-player team.

Los Angeles defeated Indiana 123-109 in the championship game to become the first tournament champion.

Through the 2025 NBA Cup, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are the only players to earn multiple All-NBA Cup Team selections.

Antetokounmpo was selected in each of the first two tournaments and won the MVP award in 2024. Gilgeous-Alexander followed with consecutive selections in 2024 and 2025.
