The Basketball Association of America operated for three seasons:
1946-47, 1947-48 and 1948-49.
The Philadelphia Warriors won the inaugural BAA championship in
1947, the Baltimore Bullets won in 1948, and the Minneapolis Lakers
won the final BAA championship in 1949.
Following the 1948-49 season, the BAA and National Basketball League
combined to form the National Basketball Association.
