2023 NBA Mock Draft - Post-Trade Deadline Edition

The deadline for the NBA Trade has passed. Some of the first-round picks were moved on to mix up the draft order. However, the lottery contenders remain the same. With March Madness here with us, players' performance could significantly boost their draft stock.

NCAA betting fans will also be following the action keenly as they test their knowledge of the sport. Those planning to wager on the event should use the best March Madness strategy to enjoy their wagering. In the meantime, let's look at the post-trade deadline edition of the 2023 NBA Mock Draft.

Victor Wembanyama - Houston Rockets
Age: 19
Team: Metropolitans 92 (France/International)
Position:PF
Height: 7'2
Weight: 229 lbs
Victor Wembanyama is a generational talent. The combination of his skill set and physique results in something the league has not experienced since Kevin Durant. The talented PF boasts a flashy perimeter game and mobility to cover multiple positions. He has been in the top French league for three years and is a worthwhile prospect this year.

Scoot Henderson - Detroit Pistons
Age: 19
Team: G League Ignite
Position: PG
Height: 6'2
Weight: 195 lbs
Henderson makes going past G-League defenders look effortless thanks to his athleticism and dribbling prowess in the halfcourt and transition. While a significant skill gap exists between the G-League and the NBA, the game's speed and the defenders' athleticism are similar.

However, Henderson is an excellent talent, especially considering his ball-handling and passing skills. He only needs to keep his shooting percentages in a respectable range, and he will secure the second overall pick spot.

Amen Thompson - San Antonio Spurs
Age: 20
Team: Overtime Elite
Position: PG/SG
Height: 6'7
Weight: 207 lbs
Questions about his shooting will follow Amen Thompson until draft night. However, when you consider his pure athleticism and show-stopping capability, you wouldn't doubt he is a top-five pick. His open-floor ball-handling prowess will give him an edge, but this draft will reveal what NBA evaluators think.

Brandon Miller - Charlotte Hornets
Age:20
Year: Freshman
Position: CF
Height 6'9
Weight: 200 lbs
Miller might be in his freshman season, but his 3-point shooting is elite in both volume and percentage. He is 6-foot-9 and has the hops to plunge on opponents. Furthermore, Miller enjoys a smooth handle. All these attributes make him the ideal offensive player.

At a minimum, Miller is a top-shelf shooter and rebounder. He also has the potential to be an NBA-level 20-ppg star. Miller's defense and shot creation will determine his actual ceiling as he continues to develop.

Ausar Thompson - Orlando Magic
Age: 20
Team: Overtime Elite
Position: SG/SF
Height: 6'7
Weight: 210 lbs
Ausar Thompson boasts a solid foundation of multiple skills, making him a moldable prospect who can effortlessly fit in any NBA system. He is a remarkable athlete and disruptive defender. Moreover, he leaps better than the competition he faces at Overtime Elite.

Ausar's defensive prowess will earn him playing time immediately. However, he must improve his perimeter shooting to be a proper modern wing.
