Who Has the Best Chance of Winning the NBA Championship this Season?
This season’s NBA Championship looks to be the most open we have seen in the league for several years. There are at least three teams in each conference that will feel they have an excellent chance of landing the top prize at the end of the playoffs.
Here is a look at some of the leading contenders and if they have what it takes to go all the way.
After 58 games into the 2021/22 NBA campaign, Phoenix Suns led the way in the Western Conference with a .826 pct. They look on course to win their division and conference, which would secure them the number one seed in the postseason.
Phoenix are the +450 favorites in the sports betting for the championship. Their big players Devin Booker and Chris Paul are both at the top of their games this season and they are helping them to go on impressive winning streaks.

Last season’s runners-up will be hoping they can learn from the experience of the 2021 NBA Finals and go one place better this time around. They had impressive series wins over LA Lakers, Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers last year, before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Brooklyn Nets began the season as the favorites to win the NBA Championship in 2022. Although the campaign has not gone as well as they would have liked so far, they remain in contention for the playoffs.
The Nets have been without Kyrie Irving for a large part of the season, and they have missed their leading guard. However, if they do make it through to the playoffs, they will prove a dangerous team for anybody left in the competition.
With a roster as strong as Brooklyn’s, they have the quality to make history this year by sealing the franchise’s first championship in the NBA era. They just need to remain as consistent as possible before then to ensure they secure a place in the playoffs.
Only two teams in the last 10 years have been able to defend their NBA Championship title. Miami Heat managed it in 2013, while more recently, the Golden State Warriors did so in 2018. Milwaukee Bucks are bidding to add their name to that list in June.
The Bucks are in contention for the Eastern Conference title, along with seven other teams, in what is a tight top half of the standings. They will take a great deal of confidence from the way they defeated Phoenix 4-2 in the NBA Finals last year. That series proved they are one of the best clutch teams in the league.

Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is in contention for the MVP crown once again this season. His performances for the Bucks have been of the highest level since October. The power forward is going to be the key to Milwaukee’s success again this year.
It should be a fascinating end to the regular season and then those who remain involved will all fancy their chances of glory in the NBA Finals.
