30) Oklahoma City Thunder- previous rank, 27.  Week record (0-5), year record (1-9).  Not a surprise, back at 30.

29) Los Angeles Clippers- previous rank, 29.  Week record (1-2), year record (1-8).  Very disappointing team and even back to full strength.

28) Minnesota Timberwolves- previous rank, 28.  Week record (0-2), year record (1-7).  Wittman needs to lose his job.

27) Washington Wizards- previous rank, 30.  Week record (1-1), year record (1-6).  Picked up their first win of the year in a short week.

26) Dallas Mavericks- previous rank, 19.  Week record (0-4), year record (2-7).  When I said a Texas was looking old, I picked the wrong one.

25) Memphis Grizzlies- previous rank, 15.  Week record (0-4), year record (3-7).  Is reality starting to set in?

24) Charlotte Bobcats- previous rank, 22.  Week record (1-2), year record (3-5).  Looks like it’s going to take longer for Brown too leave his mark.

23) San Antonio Spurs- previous rank, 26.  Week record (2-1), year record (3-5).  Big win against Houston this week and looks to be treading water until Parker and Ginobili return.

22) Golden State Warriors- previous rank, 24.  Week record (2-2), year record (4-6).  Looks to be better than I thought, but seriously how long will their young inexperienced rookies, play well?

21) Sacramento Kings- previous rank, 25.  Week record (2-2), year record (4-6).  Suffered their first home loss of the season this week, still stayed even even with Martin and Garcia still out.

20) Indiana Pacers- previous rank, 20.  Week record (2-2), year record (4-5).  Playing like expected, has record like expected.

19) New Jersey Nets- previous rank, 17.  Week record (2-2), year record (4-5).  Well this is simple; they played 4 games this week, won two with Devin Harris and two without him.

18) Toronto Raptors- previous rank, 11.  Week record (1-2), year record (4-4).  Started out hot.

17) Milwaukee Bucks- previous rank, 18. Week record (2-2), year record (5-6).  Record does not show it, but they are a no quit and gritty team, a reflection of their coach.

16) Philadelphia 76ers- previous rank, 23. Week record (3-1), year record (5-5).  Had a great week and is now back to .500.

15)  Chicago Bulls- previous rank, 16.  Week record (2-1), year record (5-5).  Got a pleasant surprise with the play of Rose, if he keeps it up, they’ll keep it up.

14) Miami Heat- previous rank, 14.  Week record (2-1), year record (5-4).  How long will Wade continue to do it all?

13) Denver Nuggets- previous rank, 21.  Week record (3-1), year record (5-4).  Did I mention how big the acquisition of Billups was?

12) New Orleans Hornets- previous rank, 8. Week record (1-2), year record (5-4).  Will be tough to repeat last years’ performance and I think that pressure and expectation is the reason for their recent struggles.

11) Portland Trailblazers- previous rank, 13.  Week record (3-1), year record (6-4).  Looks like their repeating last years’ performance just fine.

10) Houston Rockets- previous rank, 9.  Week record (2-2), year record (6-4).  Lose to the Spurs, but beat the Hornets?  Ming and McGrady aren’t playing well either.

9) Utah Jazz- previous rank, 2.  Week record (1-4), year record (6-4).  Could kind of see this coming, can only stay undefeated so long without Okur, Williams, Kirilenko and Harpring all week and Harpring and Williams for 1 game combined so far this year.

8) New York Knicks- previous rank, 12.  Week record (3-1), year record (6-3).  THE KNICKS ARE IN THE TOP 10! THE KNICKS ARE IN THE TOP 10!!

7) Orlando Magic- previous rank, 10.  Week record (2-1), year record (6-3).  On their expected pace and Howards still Howard.

6) Atlanta Hawks- previous rank, 3.  Week record (2-3), year record (6-3).  Lost 3 in a row and 2 came in a home in home with the Nets. How bad do they need Josh Smith?

5) Phoenix Suns- previous rank, 6.  Week record (2-1), year record (7-2).  Shaq looks re-born and they continue to surprise me.

4) Detroit Pistons- previous rank, 7.  Week record (3-1), year record (7-2).  Looks to be back on track since struggling after the trade and also handed the Lakers their first loss.

3) Cleveland Cavaliers- previous rank, 5.  Week record (3-0), year record (8-2).  The new acquisitions look like great compliments to LeBron and this team is rolling.

2) Boston Celtics- previous rank, 4.  Week record (4-1), year record (9-2).  Had a couple squeakers this week and like the champ they are, pulled it out.

1) Los Angeles Lakers- previous rank, 1.  Week record (3-1), year record (7-1).  Even with the loss, they still have the best record in the NBA.
