The Grizzlies originally planned to retire Tony Allen's no. 9 jersey on January 28, 2022.[64] However, in November 2021, the ceremony was postponed at the request of Allen.
After trading Mike Conley Jr. the team announced they would retire Conley Jr.'s no. 11.
The NBA retired Bill Russell's No. 6 for all its member teams on August 11, 2022.
