30) Oklahoma city Thunder- previous rank/ 30 this weeks record 0-3/ year record 2-22.  I guess you can say their improving?

29) Minnesota Timberwolves- previous rank/ 27 this weeks record 0-3/ year record 4-18.  Well Wittman’s gone but is McHale any better?

28) Washington Wizards- previous rank/ 29 this weeks record 1-2/ year record 4-17.  By the time Arenas comes back, will it even matter?

27) Sacramento Kings- previous rank/ 26 this weeks record 1-2/ year record 6-18.  Not only did they break their 8-game home losing streak this week, they beat the Lakers to do it.

26) Los Angeles Clippers- previous rank/ 28 this weeks record 2-1/ year record 6-17.  Will that impressive 2O.T. win versus Portland Friday night be the game that puts them back on the winning track?

25) Golden State Warriors- previous rank/ 25 this weeks record 2-2/ year record 7-17.  So far it looks like that trade isn’t panning out.

24) Charlotte Bobcats- previous rank/ 23 this weeks record 0-4/ year record 7-16.  I’ll chalk this bad week up to the trade that happened.

23) Indiana Pacers- previous rank/ 22 this weeks record 0-4/ year record 7-16.  Despite the record, Bird and the rest of the front office is happy because there is no off court problems.

22) Memphis Grizzlies- previous rank/ 24 this weeks record 3-0/ year record 9-13.  Winners of four straight dating back to last week.

21) Milwaukee Bucks- previous rank/ 20 this weeks record 1-3/ year record 10-15.  Had a bad west coast trip (0-3), came back near home and won.

20) Philadelphia 76ers- previous rank/ 18 this weeks record 1-2/ year record 10-14.  1-0 under DiLeo so far.

19) Chicago Bulls- previous rank/ 19 this weeks record 2-1/ year record 11-13.  Note: take all knives out of Roses’ house.

18) New Jersey Nets- previous rank/ 14 this weeks record 0-3/ year record 11-11.  Starting to slip?

17) New York Knicks- previous rank/ 21 this weeks record 3-1/ year record 11-12.  As I said earlier, this team will hover around .500 all year.

16) Toronto Raptors- previous rank/ 17 this weeks record 2-2/ year record 11-12.  Won 2 in a row under Triano after losing their first 2.

15) Miami Heat- previous rank/ 16 this weeks record 1-1/ year record 12-10.  Still have a decent record for their division and right in the middle of the pack.

14) New Orleans Hornets- previous rank/ 11 this weeks record 1-1/ year record 12-7.  Way to low of a rank for a team of this quality.

13) Dallas Mavericks- previous rank/ 15 this weeks record 2-1/ year record 13-9.  Still playing good basketball.

12) Detroit Pistons- previous rank/ 12 this weeks record 2-2/ year record 13-9.  Even with losing Billups, they still stayed consistent.

11) Phoenix Suns- previous rank/ 10 this weeks record 2-1/ year record 14-9.  Can the Suns all of a sudden adapt with more new players and a new system that Nash and Amare don’t want?

10) Atlanta Hawks- previous rank/ 9 this weeks record 2-2/ year record 14-9.  Highlight of their week, they stopped the Cavs win streak.

9) San Antonio Spurs- previous rank/ 13 this weeks record 3-0/ year record 14-8.  Did I say the Spurs were back? And their climbing rapidly.

8) Utah Jazz- previous rank/ 8 this weeks record 2-1/ year record 15-10.  Amazing how their staying in the top 10, despite all their injuries.

7) Portland Trialblazers- previous rank/ 6 this weeks record 1-3/ year record 15-10.  Not only did they lose a heartbreaker to the Clippers Friday, they also suffered their first home loss of the season to Orlando .

6) Houston Rockets- previous rank/ 7 this weeks record 2-2/ year record 15-9.  Inconsistent play and injuries don’t seem to be bothering them…yet!

5) Denver Nuggets- previous rank/ 5 this weeks record 2-0/ year record 16-7.  Playing great, dominating basketball.

4) Orlando Magic- previous rank/ 4 this weeks record 3-1/ year record 18-6.  Better hope Howards’ injury is not serious.

3) Cleveland Cavaliers- previous rank/ 2 this weeks record 3-1/ year record 20-4.  Their 11 game winning streak is over.

2) Los Angeles Lakers- previous rank/ 3 this weeks record 3-1/ year record 19-3.  After their road loss to Sacramento earlier in the week, by the end of the week they returned the favor in LA.

1) Boston Celtics- previous rank/ 1 this weeks record 3-0/ year record 22-2.  Their streak is now up to 14.
