Game one of todays action was the best game of the summer league so far. The Warriors and Hornets played a very fasted paced up tempo game with a lot of fouls and free throw Both teams had a lot of players which NBA fans will be familiar with. The Hornets had eight guys NBA fans know, Cedric Simmons, Marcus Vincinius, Hilton Armstrong, Jack Vroman, Adam Haluska, Anthony Roberson, Julian Wright, Milt Palacio, and Hilton Armstrong. The Warriors had Kalenna Azubuike, Marco Belinelli, Patrick O’Bryant, Josh Powell, Stephane Lasme, Toby Bailey, and Brandan Wright. This was a good game all around, both teams actually made baskets which have been a rarity in this league. The Hornets couldn’t stop Belinelli at all, he scored at will. The Hornets also took a lot of three point shots which they always seemed to miss.
Stud The second game between the Sixers and Pistons was the best another exciting and could challenger the previous game for best game. The Pistons won on a buzzer beating shot. The Pistons had six guys who should make a NBA roster they are Aaron Affalo, Rodney Stuckey, Sammy Mejia, Chiekh Samb, Jason Maxiell, and Laron Profit. The Sixers have ten guys but didn’t play them all. This game was close the entire way and went into overtime. This game also had a lot of fouls called in it. I thought the guards from both teams did a horrible job controlling the ball, they both turned it over a lot.
Stud The Spurs and Cavs played third, and just like their final’s series their summer game was boring. The game was close but filled with mistakes and turnovers. A lot of players tried to make the highlight reel rather than just play basketball and this lead to a sloppy game. The Cavs had three guys from their finals team, Daniel Gibson, Shannon Brown, and Dwayne Jones as well as former Raptors player PJ Tucker and former Knick Dijon Thompson. The Spurs had their same guys from yesterday. This game was ugly in every sense of the word, the Spurs guards really tried to make themselves stand out, which they did but in a bad way with their play. The Cavs lost Gibson to an eye injure in the second quarter. James White was about the only thing entertaining about this game, he has some nice dunks but can’t hold onto the ball.
Stud China vs. The Kings was the last game. China looked good last night but tonight they looked really bad. This was the most boring game so far as China didn’t even look like they belonged here. The Kings had seven guys who have or will play in the NBA, they include Francisco Garcia, Donta Smith, Justin Williams, Spencer Hawes, and Ceasary Tribansky. China had Wang and Yi and Sun on their team. The Kings got ahead early and never really looked back. China was in the game until the second quarter when the Kings just blew it away. China had a tough time matching the physical play of the Kings. Studs and Duds
