The Return Of NBA's Stars From Long-Term Absences

The 2022/23 NBA season has already begun, with the basketball action already free-flowing and fans able to see a number of the biggest stars in the game do what they do best: play ball.

Naturally, the fact that there are so many stars on the court at any given moment is what makes the NBA as appealing as it is because it makes the sport highly entertaining, as well as extremely competitive. These two elements make things more unpredictable, which has also allowed for fans who enjoy sports betting activities to further enhance the experiences that they get when watching the best basketball the world has to offer.

Indeed, many have been looking for the best and legit basketball sportsbooks to utilize in order to enjoy the sport further, with many of them realizing that the sites listed can provide them with competitive odds and markets, as well as a range of bonuses to use perhaps on their favorite players and the biggest stars of the game.

And, talking about the biggest stars of the game, this year's NBA season might just be a little more exciting as there have been a number of players to make a return to the court following a period of long-term absenteeism due to various issues. Let's take a look at some of the players who have finally made their long-awaited returns recently.

  • Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers)
  • Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans)
  • Ben Simmons (Brooklyn Nets)
  • Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets)
  • John Wall (Los Angeles Clippers)
  • James Wiseman (Golden State Warriors)

Each of the aforementioned stars missed the entirety of the last NBA season, therefore it is only natural for them, their teams, and fans to have been excited to see each of them return to the court this season.

Zion Williamson's return to action has been noticeable as the Pelicans have made a fast start to the season, with the power forward being one man to have been vital to their success thus far. As of writing, he has been able to achieve an average of 21.8 points per game and 8 rebounds in the four matches he has played thus far, having missed two consecutive encounters against the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns.

However, there will have been some frustrations, too, with Leonard perhaps one star that will not be too happy with how things are going as he continues to battle with injuries. He recently suffered a knee injury which has forced him to miss more games this season, and this appears to have had an impact on the Clippers, despite Wall's return to action.

Ben Simmons is perhaps another frustration for many as the Nets star has recently had to miss out on minutes due to a soreness to the knee, and with the franchise having been struggling all year and deciding to fire coach Steve Nash, things could really do with getting better in New York and it is likely Simmons is going to have to be key to that.

As the season goes on, fans will be keen to see the kings of the court get back into their strides and have an influential campaign, especially after being sorely missed in the previous NBA season.
