Who's Favored To Win The 2023 NBA Finals
The 2022-2023 NBA season is fast approaching. Although trade rumors are still swirling around a handful of the league's stars, sportsbooks have a variety of NBA futures markets to bet on, including 2023 Finals odds. With sports betting expanding to more states over the coming months, even more fans will be getting in on the action this season. Maryland will be expanding to offer mobile wagering, while states like Ohio will be rolling out betting for the first time to allow residents to take advantage of Ohio sportsbook promotions.

Let's take a look at some of the teams favored to win the 2023 NBA Finals from two of the top online sportsbooks in DraftKings and FanDuel.

2023 NBA Finals Odds

DraftKings NBA Finals Odds FanDuel NBA Finals Odds
Celtics +450 +450
Clippers +600 +700
Warriors +600 +650
Bucks +700 +550
Suns +950 +1000
Heat +1400 +1500
76ers +1500 +1500
Lakers +1600 +1800
Nets +1600 +1500
Nuggets +1900 +2100

Both FanDuel and DraftKings have the same ten teams with the shortest odds to win the 2023 NBA Finals, just with a slightly shuffled order. Looking at the odds for these ten teams also shows the importance of line shopping whenever you're placing a bet. If you want to back the Bucks this year, DraftKings is where you should be placing your bet. On the other hand, if you want to take a swing on the Denver Nuggets, FanDuel is the place to go.

Top Four Finals Favorites
After the Celtics, Clippers, Warriors, and Bucks, the odds gap starts to widen among the top ten teams with the shortest odds to win the 2023 NBA Finals.

Boston Celtics
After reports surfaced of the C's offering a package for Kevin Durant, bettors and sportsbooks responded by making Boston the 2023 NBA Finals betting favorites. The Celtics and Bucks were tied for finals favorites at the beginning of July following the Malcolm Brogdon trade.

Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks made their own move during free agency, adding forward Joe Ingles and keeping their core intact. With Khris Middleton expected back fully healthy to start the season, Milwaukee is a no-brainer finals favorite.

Golden State Warriors
What else needs to be said about this team? They've appeared in six of the last eight NBA Finals and won four of them. The Warriors added Donte DiVincenzo but did see Gary Payton II, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Otto Porter Jr. leave for new teams. Toting the league's largest estimated luxury tax bill for the 2022-23 season, expect things to remain calm for Golden State.

Los Angeles Clippers
Of the teams favored to win the 2023 NBA Finals, the Clippers feel like the team where everything could fall apart quicker than the wrong Jenga move. On paper, you have to absolutely love this team after the addition of John Wall following his buyout from the Houston Rockets. Wall has played just 40 games in his last three seasons, however, and star Kawhi Leonard will be returning from an ACL tear. Paul George only appeared in 31 games last season after dealing with an elbow injury.
