  • 2. Did you know that there has only been two occasions in history where games have been played on Christmas Eve? These were in 1960 and 1967 and both were shown on television. The games were between the Celtics and Hawks, and then the Warriors and Sonics respectively.

  • 3. During the 1908's the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics were consistently in the finals for each of the ten years. They faced off against each other on three occasions in 0984, 1985, and 1987 with the Lakers coming out on top in two out of three of the matches.

  • 5. A coin flip took place on the 19th of March 1969 to determine which team would get to select its players first in the NBA draft. The coin showed tails, the opposite of The Phoenix Suns choice meaning that Abdul Jabbar (Lew Alcindor) started his lucrative career with the Milwaukee Bucks.
