> The Lakers have been swept out of the finals more times than half the teams in the NBA have even made the Finals.
> The 1999 Knicks were the first 8th seed to reach the Finals, the 2023 Heat became the 2nd
> The 1995 Rockets were the lowest seed to win the NBA Championship(6th).
> The Lakers and Celtics have played each other in the NBA Finals 12 times, and have combined for 35 NBA Championships.
> The Lakers and/or Celtics have played in 44 of the 80 NBA Finals series ever played.
> Game 5 of the 1976 NBA Finals between the Celtics and Suns, is considered the greatest game ever played. Boston won, 128-126 in triple overtime and then the Championship.
