The United States contests the results of the 1972 game and as such have refused
to take the Silver Medals.
The United States boycotted the 1980 Moscow games in protest of the Soviet Unions
Invasion of Afghanistan
The USSR boycotted the 1984 Los Angeles games because of the American boycott of the 1980 games.
